Flexible endoscopes are highly advanced devices that are very expensive to replace. A single fluid invasion or a dropped scope can take a $30,000 instrument out of service. We help by providing expert-quality repairs that restore the scope to OEM specification instead of forcing a capital purchase.

We opened our dedicated flexible scope lab in 2022. That means angulation systems, bending sections, insertion tubes, light guides, CCD and fiber image bundles are all handled here — not shipped out to a subcontractor.

How flexible evaluations work

A flexible scope has to be opened to be evaluated properly. Unlike a rigid scope, most of what fails on a flexible is inside the insertion tube or the control body, where it cannot be seen or measured from the outside. Anyone who quotes a flexible repair without opening it is guessing.

So flexibles take longer to evaluate than our other work, and we do not put a 24-hour clock on them. We open the scope, test it on the bench, and quote it as soon as we know exactly what is wrong. If it needs in-depth troubleshooting — intermittent image faults and slow leaks are the usual culprits — we call you and tell you where we are rather than letting the scope go quiet.

Ask for a loaner when you send it in, and your schedule is covered while we do the work properly.
